PRECISE OBJECT TRANSPORTATION ROBOT

I designed, prototyped, 3D modeled, 3D printed, fabricated, assembled, and conducted the final presentation of the robot. I fabricated the robot by salvaging motors from old drills and integrating them into self-made gear boxes, laser cutting the plastic base of the robot, g-coding a mold for silicone wheels, and utilizing the machine shop for the remaining components. Our approach was to construct a sturdy 12"x12"x12" robot that could physically overcome the opponents, while utilizing a claw that could lift the cubes without high remote control precision. Our final design was capable of scoring up to 21 points by dumping 7 blocks in the 3 point zone.

My partner and I designed this robot to compete against other robots to score as many points as possible in 3 minutes. Points are scored by precisely maneuvering solid cubes to a score zone in a small arena.

Remarkable Achievements:

●    Awarded third place in the Harvard Turf Wars  competition.
